The Planetary Research Cooperative respects the privacy of our members and those who visit our website. We do not use cookies to track visitors, we do not use website analytics, and we do not use tracking in any emails sent by the association.

To become a member, one must provide a first and last name, an email address, and a username. At signup, one will also be given the opportunity to subscribe to any of the association’s newsletters. With this information, we create an account for the member on our website and then synchronize these data with our internal database. The collected information is used solely for the purpose of running the association and will never be shared outside of the association.

Members may unsubscribe from any email list at any time using the information provided in the footer of the mail. Members may also cancel their membership at any time by logging on and choosing “Cancel membership” from the member services page. After cancelling a membership, the member’s account and all personal information will be deleted within one month’s time. If you have any questions about your personal information, please contact our data protection officer at dpo@planetary-research.org.

We self-host this website at the Institut de physique de globe de Paris using the WordPress and CiviCRM software. The association also manages several internet services, including Nextcloud, Mattermost, and Mastodon. The Nextcloud and Mattermost servers are self-hosted at the Institut de physique de globe de Paris, and our Mastodon instance is hosted by masto.host.

Donations are handled through our credit card payment processor Stripe. Their privacy policy can be found here.
