The Planetary Research Cooperative offers all its services to the planetary science community for free. These services have a cost, and we rely on donations from individuals, contributions from research grants, and contributions from institutions and organizations.

The internal costs of the association are separated into two main categories. First, there are costs for running the association’s internet services, which include email accounts and hosting for Peertube, Indico, Mattermost, Mastodon, Liberaforms, Signatories, and the Reviewer expertise database. Together, these come to about 300 € per year. Second, there are costs for running the journal Planetary Research that will eventually come to about 40,000 € per year.

It is our objective to pay all journal costs using contributions from research grants and subsidies from planetary science institutions. The cost of running the association, however, will be funded by individual donations.
